The short answer
The catalog still brings the most visitors. Fewer of them arrive than a year ago, and the pages around the catalog do not finish the job.
Product pages bring 8,236 of your 22,796 visits, more than any other part of the site. Open the same weeks in Search Console. They have a "Get a quote" button near the top, and 271 of the 293 carry a PDF. The blog is the one large part that grew, from 3,243 visits to 3,541.
Visits from Google are down 23% on last year. Spring supports are down 38%. A year ago Google listed your Variable Spring Supports page first for "variable spring support". Today it is ninth.
Service and solution pages bring 687 visits between them, 3% of the total. 29 of the 32 ask for the job only at the very bottom. Seven smaller defects are in section 1, each with a prompt your agent can run.
The numbers are your own, from Google Search Console for pipingtech.com. They cover 7 July to 5 October 2026 against the same dates in 2025. Search Console counts visits from Google search. It does not count leads or revenue, so this audit makes no claim about either.
How to use this document
Each fix has a tag. Agent means your AI agent can do it from the prompt. Agent drafts, you approve means the agent prepares the change and a person at PT&P checks the engineering content. Your team means a person must decide or supply something first. Each prompt ends with the same safety rules: work on staging or a draft, back up anything global, show a before and after, stop before publishing.
What your Search Console shows
Visits fell in November 2025 and have not come back. From July to October 2025 Google sent between 9,486 and 11,125 visitors a month. Since November 2025 it has sent between 7,316 and 8,653. See the months in Search Console.
Visits from Google search to pipingtech.com, by month
Dead pages did not cause the fall. We opened all 349 addresses that had 15 or more visits in any of the periods we compared, and every one loads. Search Console does not say why Google moved you. It does show where the visits went, and that sets the order of the work in this audit.
Where the visits went, by part of the site
- Product pages lost the most visits, from 10,271 to 8,236. Spring supports are the largest part of that loss. See it in Search Console. Start with section 3.
- The homepage went from 4,984 visits to 3,081. See it in Search Console. People searched "piping technology" as often as last year (4,750 times against 4,717). Visits from that search fell from 2,064 to 1,110, and your average place for it slipped from first to second. Search Console does not show what now sits above you, so search your own name in a private window to see it. Then run the homepage fix in section 5.
- Guides, bulletins, FAQ pages and PDF files fell from 7,058 visits to 3,860. These are the pages an engineer reads before choosing a part. Several have no link to the part. See it in Search Console. The fix is in section 6.
- Service and solution pages bring 687 visits. Your hiring pages bring 954. See services, solutions and hiring in Search Console. The fix is in section 2.
- The blog grew and the cross-reference charts still bring 806 visits. See the blog and the charts in Search Console. Both need a next step for the reader, also in section 6.
Who these visitors are and what they type
Search Console shows what people type. It does not show who they are. To find out, we read how engineers describe their own problems on the Eng-Tips forum. Then we matched each kind of buyer to the searches they use and the page on your site that meets them. The quotes are their words, and each link opens the thread. The buyer labels are our reading of each post.
Engineers on that forum recommend PT&P by name, and we found no complaint about PT&P in any thread we read. So the work in this audit is about being found and making the next step easy.
| Buyer | In their words | What they type, and your average place | Page that meets them, visits now (last year) | What to do |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pipe stress engineer who is sizing a spring | I am using the PTP Spring Selection tool, but I need to know if I have the correct hot load.2008 thread | "variable spring support", 1st last year and 9th now. "spring can", 1st last year and 7th now. | Variable Spring Supports, 401 (998). The sizing tool is on a separate Tools page and brought 17 (60). | Rebuild the spring category page and put the sizing tool one click away. Section 3. |
| Plant maintenance or reliability engineer | a 20 year old Constant Spring support that is still operating as designed, however there is a high level of corrosion around the load bearing areas. How would you determine if it would need replacing?2015 thread | They land on your installation and maintenance guides. | Installation and maintenance guides, 674 (1,258). | Give the guides a link to the part and a way to reach an engineer. Section 6. |
| Buyer who must replace a part with no drawing | All we have is a name plate and a serial number, but nobody inhouse seems to know the manufacturer2015 thread | "grinnell pipe supports", 4th. "anvil fig 140", 3rd. | Cross-reference charts, 806 (1,019). | Add a quote button and a nameplate line to each chart. Section 6. |
| Designer or contractor who needs a standard support | You do not need to "Design" one just go here and buy them.(with a link to your Fig. 2000 page) 2011 thread | "pipe shoe", 8th. "pipe saddle", 4th. | Product pages, 8,236 (10,271). | These pages work. For "pipe shoes" Google shows a photo gallery more often than the product page. Link the gallery to the product. Section 6. |
| Designer choosing a shoe for an insulated line | We use a lot of these type shoes from Piping Technology based what we are trying to accomplish. Our design people, along with the insulators, especially like the pre insulated variety.2008 thread | "cryogenic pipe supports", 2nd last year and 7th now. "pre insulated pipe supports", 2nd last year and 14th now. | Pre-insulated support pages, 1,459 (2,023). | Fix the duplicate Pipe Shields cards in section 1. Then run the long-page prompt in section 2 on Pre-Insulated Support Solutions. |
| Engineer with a vibrating line | You should be dealing with both AIV and FIV as your process contains gas.2024 thread | "acoustic induced vibration", 2nd last year and 13th now. | Pipe Vibration Solutions, 238 (274). Acoustic Induced Vibration, 102 (134). | These are two of your three most visited service and solution pages. Give them a structure and a button first. Section 2. |
| Engineer who must choose between a loop and a bellows | any refernce book on industial disasters is full of references to bellows failing2007 thread | "expansion joint pipe", 9th. "expansion loop", 12th. | Expansion Joint Solutions. Google showed it 11,197 times and 54 people clicked. | Split the page under headings that match these questions. Section 4. |

Keep those addresses as they are. Section 6. |
1Seven things that are broken
A visitor or a search engine can see each of these today. Fix them as one batch.
The "Services" breadcrumb opens an error page
AgentOn 14 service pages there is a breadcrumb trail: a thin dark strip just under the main menu, with small orange text on the right that reads Home > Services > page name. It is easy to miss. The "Services" link points to /services/%service-type%/. The placeholder was never filled in. A click lands on "400 Bad Request".
The 3D Printing page on 8 October 2026. The arrow marks the "Services" link that opens the error page.
Tested Clicked the link in Chrome on the 3D Printing page. Check it Open the 3D Printing page and look just below the navy menu bar, on the right, for "Home > Services > 3D Printing" in small orange text. Click "Services".
The 14 pages 24x7 Quick-turn Emergency, 3D Printing, Acoustic Induced Vibration (AIV), Burst Testing, Engineering & Design, Pipe Stress Analysis, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Helium Testing, LiDAR Technology 3D Laser Scanning, Product Testing, Load Testing, Snubber Testing, Smart Maintenance Solutions, Spring Support and Expansion Joint Audits. Each carried the same link when we opened it on 8 October 2026.
Prompt for your agent
On pipingtech.com the breadcrumb on single Service pages links "Services" to https://pipingtech.com/services/%service-type%/ . The token %service-type% is a placeholder that was never filled in. 1. Find what produces that address. Check Rank Math breadcrumbs, the theme, Elementor and the Services post type settings. Tell me which one it is. 2. Confirm that https://pipingtech.com/services/ is the right target. Then make the "Services" breadcrumb link to it. Do not change permalinks or rewrite rules. 3. Check the same for Products and Resources breadcrumbs. Report what you find. Do not change them yet. Rules for this task. Work on a staging copy or a draft. Change only what this prompt names. A menu, a breadcrumb, a Rank Math setting, a shared template or a HubSpot form is global and may go live when saved. For anything global, back it up, tell me it is global, and wait for my approval before you save. Do not change page addresses or redirects. Show me before and after. Stop and wait for my approval before you publish.
Done when the "Services" link on all 14 service pages opens /services/ and no page on the site links to an address that contains %service-type%.
A blog post names an engineer on the page and "tonyv" in the data
Agent drafts, you approveWe checked one article. The 1 October 2026 vibration article shows the writer "Ugochukwu Uchendu". The name has no link. The data that search engines read names the author "tonyv", which is the WordPress login that published it.
Tested Read the visible byline and the author data on the post in Chrome. Check it Paste the post address into the Rich Results Test and look at "author". This test also shows a green tick. Open the Article row and read the author name.
Prompt for your agent
Posts on pipingtech.com show a human writer in the text, but the Article data names the WordPress user (for example "tonyv") as author. 1. List every post from 2021 onward with: address, the writer name shown on the page, and the WordPress author. 2. Stop and show me the list. Do not create user accounts and do not reassign any post yet. 3. For each real writer, tell me how this site can hold an author profile (a WordPress user or an author plugin). Leave the biography empty and ask me for it. Do not write it yourself. 4. After I approve, change ONE post as a pilot. Set its author to the matching profile and link the visible name to the profile page.
Done when the Rich Results Test shows the engineer's real name as author on the pilot article, and the name on the page opens a profile that a named person at PT&P approved.
The blog index is called "List"
AgentThe page that lists your articles has the browser title "List | Piping Technology & Products, Inc." The menu calls it "Blog (Product Archives)". Neither label says what is there.
Tested Read the title and the menu label in Chrome. Check it Open the blog index and read the browser tab.
Prompt for your agent
On pipingtech.com: 1. Change the SEO title of https://pipingtech.com/resources/ptp-blog/list/ from "List" to "Pipe Support Engineering Blog | Piping Technology & Products". Add a meta description of one sentence that says the blog has engineering articles and project write-ups. 2. Change the menu label "Blog (Product Archives)" to "Blog". Do not change the page address.
Done when the browser tab shows the new title, the menu says "Blog" and the page address is the same as before.
The Constant Spring Supports card is empty
Agent drafts, you approveOn the Engineered Spring Supports page, three of the four product cards have a short description. The first card, Constant Spring Supports, has a heading and a button and no text.
Tested Read the four cards in Chrome. Check it Open Engineered Spring Supports.
Done when the card has two or three sentences. The prompt is in the spring supports section below.
Two identical Pipe Shields cards open a homepage
AgentThe Pre-Insulated Pipe Supports page shows the card "Pipe Shields Pre-Insulated Pipe Supports (A1000 to G3000)" twice. Both open the pipeshields.com homepage in a new tab. The buyer must find the product again there.
Tested Read each card's link in Chrome. Check it Open Pre-Insulated Pipe Supports and scroll to the last two cards.
Prompt for your agent
On https://pipingtech.com/products/pre-insulated-pipe-supports/ the card "Pipe Shields Pre-Insulated Pipe Supports (A1000 - G3000)" appears twice and both cards link to the pipeshields.com homepage. 1. Remove the duplicate card. 2. Ask me for the pipeshields.com address of the A1000 to G3000 product range. Point the remaining card to that address. 3. Add one line under the card title: "Made by Pipe Shields, a PT&P company." Rules for this task.
Done when the page shows one Pipe Shields card and the button opens the product range.
Old catalog links open a "Gone" page
Your teamAddresses from the old catalog, such as /products/constant-springs.htm, answer "410 Gone". Other sites may still link to addresses like this one.
Tested Opened the address in Chrome. Check it Open the old constant springs address.
Decision "Gone" may be deliberate. Our AEO audit lists the old addresses that Wikipedia and trade sites still link to. Forward those to the matching current page. Leave the rest.
One sentence on the Refinery page says the opposite of what you mean
AgentThe first paragraph reads "Without deep engineering expertise and extensive experience, we offer refineries far more than just supplying manufactured products." The same page says "market shifts in 2020 may see a reduction in tight oil supply" and shows a margin chart for 2016 to 2019.
Tested Read the live page text in Chrome. Check it Open Refinery Solutions and search for "Without deep".
Prompt for your agent
On https://pipingtech.com/solutions/refinery-solutions/ : 1. Change "Without deep engineering expertise" to "With deep engineering expertise". 2. Find every sentence that refers to 2019, 2020 or "2010-2020" as the present or the future. List them. Propose updated wording for each, or propose removal. Do not invent market data.
Done when the first paragraph reads "With deep engineering expertise" and no sentence treats 2020 as the future.
2Service and solution pages ask for the job only at the bottom
Every one of these 32 pages ends with the same strip. It says "Need help? Have questions about our products or need a quote?" and shows the phone number, "Request a quote", "Schedule a meeting" and "Contact us". That strip is good, and it should stay.
On 29 of the 32 pages it is the only next step, and it comes after everything else. Your most detailed pages are 6 to 14 screens long. A buyer who is ready after the second screen has to scroll to the end or go back to the menu. The strip is also the same on every page. It asks about "our products" on a page about a service, and it does not name the service the buyer just read about.
32 service and solution pages by length and by what the reader can do
Together these pages bring 687 visits from Google in 13 weeks, against 900 last year. See services and solutions in Search Console. Every page in the chart is listed on your Services and Solutions pages. Three pages hold 457 of them: Pipe Vibration Solutions (238), Pipe Stress Analysis for Non-Piping Engineers (117) and Acoustic Induced Vibration (102). Readers already arrive on those three, so they are the first pages to change.
Six service pages are also very short. 3D Printing has 105 words. Burst Testing has 108. Helium Testing and Engineering & Design have 113 each. The 24x7 Emergency page has 115. At that length there is little room to say what to send, what comes back or who does the work.
Two more things on these pages need a decision. The sidebar entry "Field Services" leaves the Services section for a page at /fieldservice/. The sidebar entry "B31.1 Operations and Maintenance" opens a blog post. Both entries are in the left sidebar of any service page.
What each service page should answer
These are the questions an engineer asks before a call. PT&P has the answers. The pages do not show them yet. The first three come from the Eng-Tips threads in Who these visitors are: engineers asked them in public because they could not find the answer. The other four are our own list of what a buyer needs before contacting a supplier.
- What does the buyer send? (drawings, stress report, nameplate photo, line data) A plant engineer wrote:
All we have is a name plate and a serial number, but nobody inhouse seems to know the manufacturer.
2015 thread. A page that says "send us a photo of the nameplate" answers him directly. - What does the buyer receive? (report, model, drawing set, test certificate) A reliability engineer with a corroded 20-year-old constant spring asked:
How would you determine if it would need replacing?
2015 thread. Your audit and field service pages should say what the inspection checks and what the report tells him. - Which codes, tools and software apply? (for example ASME B31.1, B31.3, CAESAR II) A stress engineer using your own sizing tool still asked the forum:
I am using the PTP Spring Selection tool, but I need to know if I have the correct hot load.
2008 thread. The engineering pages can explain the inputs and offer a check by a PT&P engineer. - What are the limits? (sizes, loads, site access, regions)
- Who does the work? One named engineer with a title.
- Where was it done before? One project from your own project write-ups. The blog holds about 370 of them.
- What is the one next step? A meeting with an engineer, or a phone number for emergencies.
Rebuilt page one, 24x7 Quick-turn Emergency
Today the service page has 115 words and a form. The emergency request page under Contact asks for 12 fields. That form shows fields for a street address and a postal code before the details of the emergency. Google showed the emergency service page 8 times in 13 weeks and nobody clicked (Search Console), so its readers come from your own menu, already in a hurry. The rebuilt page puts the phone number first and asks for the three things your on-call engineer needs.
The emergency request form today. The fields are First name, Last name, Company, Job title, Street address, City, State, Postal code, Country, Email, Phone and Details.

Agent drafts, you approvePrompt for your agent
Rebuild https://pipingtech.com/services/24x7-quick-turn-emergency/ as a draft. Keep the address.
Order of the page:
1. Heading: "Emergency pipe support and expansion joint replacement".
2. The emergency phone number as large text and as a tap-to-call link. Ask me which number reaches the on-call team after hours. Do not guess.
3. The existing promise, in PT&P's current words ("Our On-Call team is immediately paged. You will be contacted within 30 minutes.").
4. A list "Have these ready": nameplate photo or figure number; pipe size, load and temperature; plant and line.
5. A new HubSpot form with five fields: name, phone, email, what failed and where, file upload. Create it as a NEW form. Do not edit or delete the existing emergency form or its workflow. A new form does not inherit the old workflow. Ask me who receives the notification and set it up before any test.
6. A section for two past emergency jobs. Leave it empty and ask me for them.
Also make https://pipingtech.com/contact-us/emergency-request/ and this page agree: tell me which one should be the single emergency page, and wait for my answer.
Stop and wait for my approval before you publish.Done when the phone number is the first thing in the page text on a phone screen, the form has five fields, a test entry that the on-call team agreed to in advance reaches the same people as the old form, and the old form still works until PT&P retires it.
Rebuilt page two, Refinery Solutions
Today the page has 1,200 words over 11 screens. It lists twelve PT&P products and services as plain text. The whole page text has one link. There is no button and no form in the text. The only action is the general strip at the very bottom. The rebuilt page keeps your text, links each item and adds one action. Refinery Solutions is the example because one page shows every part of the fix. It brings 12 visits, so it is not the first page to change.
Pipe supports and expansion joints for refineries
Pipingtech has over 1M pipe supports and expansion joints in service globally in refineries and has conducted over 100 lunch and learns and 1000 field service visits in various refineries in the US and globally.
What refineries ask us for
Why refinery piping is different
Age. Refineries tend to be older than most industrial plants. Temperatures. Temperatures in some process areas are over 1500°F. Uptime. The cost of downtime in refineries is often over $1M per day.
Problems we see repeatedly at refineries
Maintenance approach to spring supports. PT&P recommends that refineries use a risk-based approach to spring support and expansion joint maintenance.

Work on ONE page per run. Start with https://pipingtech.com/solutions/pipe-vibration-solutions/ . Make a draft. Keep the address and keep PT&P's existing sentences. 1. Add sub-headings (H2) that describe each part of the text. Use the existing bold lines where they exist. 2. Add a row of jump links under the title that go to each sub-heading. 3. Where the page names a PT&P product or service as plain text, link it to that product or service page. List any item where you cannot find a matching page. 4. After the last section, add one button: "Talk to an engineer" linking to https://pipingtech.com/schedule-time-with-an-engineer/ . Add the same button once in the first screen. 5. Add an empty section "Projects" and ask me which three project write-ups belong there. 6. Do not add new technical claims, numbers or standards. If a section needs facts that are not on the page, leave a note for me. Rules for this task. Work on a staging copy or a draft. Change only what this prompt names. 3Spring supports lost first place in Google
A year ago Google listed your spring pages first for the words engineers use. Today they sit between 4th and 10th. Your team told us spring supports bring more leads from search than any other line. See every spring page in Search Console.
Average place in Google for spring support searches
The slide was gradual. "Variable spring support" held 1st place through September 2025. It was 2nd in November, 4th in January, 10th in June and 13th in August 2026, and it came back to 7th in September. Visits to the Variable Spring Supports page fell from 998 to 401. Visits to all pages with "spring" in the address fell from 3,757 to 2,313.
Search Console does not say why. We checked what we could. Every spring page still loads. The Variable Spring Supports page got a new title between June and August 2026, after most of the fall. What you control is the page itself, and the page that introduces the line says the least. Its first card is empty, it gives no help to choose, and it brings 46 visits.
Two spring pages also kept their old titles when other product pages were rewritten. The category page title still ends in "Products | Piping Tech". The Constant Spring Supports page describes itself to Google as "A selection of constant spring supports that Piping Technology and Products can provide for your company."
Your most watched video is the "Constant Spring Supports Product Video", with 196,699 views on YouTube. We did not find a video on the Constant Spring Supports page or on the category page. Your Spring Sizing Program sits on a separate Tools page and brought 17 visits from Google, down from 60.
Spring hangers and spring supports spring hangers, 880 searches a month
Variable, constant, big ton and compact spring supports.
Which spring support do I need spring support, 110
Variables use coiled springs to support a load and allow movement. The resistance of the coil to a load changes during compression, which is why these devices are called "variables".
Sample copyChoose a constant when the pipe moves a long way up or down and the supporting force must stay the same. Choose a variable when the movement is small and some change in load is acceptable. Read the bulletin "Variable Spring Supports vs Constant Spring Supports"
Sample copyConstants hold the same supporting force through the full travel of the pipe. Use them on lines with large vertical movement.
Also called spring cans.
A big ton spring is a multi-spring coil device that lends itself to supporting very high loads and providing a great amount of stability.

1. Constant Spring Supports card: it has no text. Ask me for two or three sentences. Do not write engineering text yourself.
2. Add a short section above the cards, "Which spring support do I need", that uses the existing Variable card text and links to the technical bulletin "Variable Spring Supports vs Constant Spring Supports".
3. Embed PT&P's own YouTube videos "Constant Spring Supports Product Video" and "Variable Spring Supports Product Video" in the matching cards. Use lazy loading so the page does not get slower.
4. Add a section "Size a spring" with a button to https://pipingtech.com/resources/tools/spring-sizing-program/ and a button to https://pipingtech.com/schedule-time-with-an-engineer/ .
5. Add one line that links to https://pipingtech.com/resources/equivalency-charts/ for buyers who replace another maker's spring.
6. In the page sub-title, include the words "spring hangers" once. Keep the main heading as it is unless I tell you to change it.
7. Draft a new SEO title and a one-sentence meta description for this page and for https://pipingtech.com/products/engineered-spring-supports/constant-spring-supports/ . Follow the pattern already used on the Variable Spring Supports page ("Variable Spring Supports | Load & Travel | Piping Tech"). The description names the product and says what the buyer can do on the page. Show me both before you save.

4Expansion joints, your largest category, sits under one heading
Your Expansion Joint Solutions page holds some of the best engineering writing on the site. It is about 1,900 words and 24 images under a single heading, with no button until the general strip at the very bottom.
The page says expansion joints are "PT&P's largest individual and most engineered product category" and that "PT&P now sells expansion joints through its U.S. Bellows subsidiary". Your Search Console shows that move. Seven expansion joint product addresses on pipingtech.com now forward to usbellows.com. They brought 289 visits in the same weeks last year. The seven are rectangular expansion joint, slip type expansion joint, in line pressure balanced expansion joint, universal expansion joint, elbow pressure balanced expansion joint, refractory lined expansion joint, fabric expansion joint. Click one and watch the address bar. Visits to expansion joint pages on pipingtech.com went from 672 to 249. See it in Search Console.
That is a transfer and not a loss, as long as usbellows.com gained what pipingtech.com gave up. Open Search Console for usbellows.com and compare the same 13 weeks in both years. If the visits did not arrive there, look at those seven forwards before you change anything else in this section.
Two expansion joint pages stay on pipingtech.com, the category page and Expansion Joint Solutions. Google showed them 26,732 times in 13 weeks and 101 people clicked.
Where pipingtech.com sits for expansion joint searches
So this page should not try to win the product searches. You sit 40th or lower for those, and U.S. Bellows is where you sell them. You are closest to the first page for the questions an engineer asks before a product is chosen, such as joint or loop. The page should answer those questions and then hand the buyer to the right U.S. Bellows product. Your own text already does the first part.
The page today. The text continues like this for 14 screens.
Pipe expansion joints, from selection to replacement pipe expansion joint, 1,000 searches a month
Expansion joints are the product that PT&P started its business with when our founder designed a thick-walled expansion joint for Dow Plaquemine in 1974. PT&P now sells expansion joints through its U.S. Bellows subsidiary.
What is an expansion joint 480
The chart below shows the basic elements of an expansion joint. It is important to note that the picture shows a limit rod, but that in different configurations, the rod can be a tie rod, limit rod, control rod, or adjustment rod.
Expansion joint or expansion loop expansion loop, 390 pipe expansion loop, 260
Our recommendation for our customers is to only use expansion joints when necessary, as they are the weakest link in the piping system.
Sample copyA loop needs room, extra pipe and extra supports. Where there is no space for a loop, or the line is large and runs at low pressure, an expansion joint is the practical choice. Send us the line data and we will tell you which one fits.

The following are 3 key issues that must be managed when expansion joints are introduced into the piping system. Pressure thrust. Squirm pressure. Buckling.
Expansion joint inspection and maintenance
- Check for signs of leakage or a loss of pressure
- Inspect for evidence of instability (squirm), distortion or damage in the bellows convolutions
- Check for misalignment of the expansion joint unit

Caesar can not auto-specify expansion joints the way it does spring supports. Generally, pipe stress engineers will hand calculate the movements to be absorbed by expansion joints.

Restructure Expansion Joint Solutions
Agent drafts, you approvePrompt for your agent
Make a draft of https://pipingtech.com/solutions/expansion-joint-solutions/ . Keep the address. Keep every existing sentence, table and image unless I say otherwise. This is a restructure, not a rewrite. 1. Turn the eight bold lines into H2 sub-headings and re-order the text under these headings: - What is an expansion joint - Expansion joint or expansion loop - Types of expansion joints - Why expansion joints fail - Expansion joint inspection and maintenance - Expansion joint repair and replacement - How to specify an expansion joint in CAESAR II - Who makes PT&P expansion joints 2. Add a row of jump links under the title. 3. Under "Types", make one card per type. Link each card to the matching product page on usbellows.com (the links already used on https://pipingtech.com/products/expansion-joints/). Label the link "View at U.S. Bellows, a PT&P company". 4. Some images appear to repeat. List them and ask me before you remove any. Propose alt text for each image that says what the diagram shows. Set it on the page, not in the Media Library. 5. Add one button after the last section and one in the first screen: "Talk to an expansion joint engineer", linking to https://pipingtech.com/schedule-time-with-an-engineer/ . 6. Set the SEO title to "Pipe Expansion Joints, Selection, Failure and Inspection | PT&P". Do not copy text from usbellows.com onto this page. 7. Where a heading has no existing text (for example "Expansion joint or expansion loop" has one sentence), leave a note for me. Do not write the engineering content.
Done when the page has eight sub-headings and a jump row, each joint type links to its U.S. Bellows product, the last screen shows a button, and a comparison with the old page shows no deleted engineering sentence.
The Expansion Joints category page has the same pattern. Its cards open the right U.S. Bellows product, each in a new browser tab, with no line that says U.S. Bellows is your company. Add that line to each card.
5The homepage covers its own message
The homepage is your most visited page, with 3,081 visits from Google in 13 weeks. About 11 to 17 seconds into a first visit, a pop-up covers the centre of it. It offers a 3D printed model in exchange for an email address. A chat greeting is open in the corner as well.
Behind the pop-up, the main panel changes every 7 seconds through four different messages. It has no pause control and does not stop when the pointer is on it. All four messages are marked as the main heading of the page, so the page does not state one thing first. The pop-up did not return on the next visit, which is the right setting.
Tested Cleared the pop-up's "already shown" markers, loaded the homepage twice in Chrome and recorded the screen every few seconds. Read the slider settings from the page. Check it Open the homepage in a private window and wait 20 seconds.

Prompt for your agent (the slider)
On the pipingtech.com homepage, make a draft: 0. Tell me what builds the slider (an Elementor widget, a global template or a slider plugin). Export or copy it before you change it. 1. Replace the four-slide rotating hero with one static panel that uses the first slide's heading and sentence. Keep the background video only if it does not delay the text. 2. Under it, add four cards: "Specify a part" (to /products/), "Replace a part" (to /resources/equivalency-charts/), "Get engineering help" (to /schedule-time-with-an-engineer/), "Emergency" (to the emergency page, with the phone number as text). 3. Make that heading the only H1 on the page. Change every other H1, including any hidden one, to H2. 4. Move the content of slides two to four lower on the page as normal sections. Do not change the HubSpot pop-up or the chat widget.
Done when the first screen shows one message that does not move, four routes are visible without scrolling on a desktop, and a first visit in a private window shows no pop-up in the first 20 seconds.
6Guides, the blog and the cross-reference charts
Three reading pages bring visitors and do not link to the part
Engineers read before they choose. These three pages brought 503 visits in 13 weeks, and we found no link in their text to the matching product page, to a quote or to an engineer.
- Pipe Shoe and Pipe Guide Photo Gallery, 183 visits. For "pipe shoes" Google shows this gallery more often than the Pipe Shoes and Pipe Guides product page (2,396 times against 1,529). See it in Search Console.
- The bulletin "Variable Spring Supports vs Constant Spring Supports", 180 visits.
- The Constant Spring Supports installation and maintenance guide, 140 visits.
Tested Counted the links in each page's code against a page that carries only the menu and the footer, 8 October 2026. Check it Open the photo gallery and look for a link to the product page in the page text.

After the last section, add one button: "Talk to an engineer", linking to https://pipingtech.com/schedule-time-with-an-engineer/ . 3. Then list every page under /resources/installation-maintenance/, /resources/technical-bulletins/ and /resources/media/gallery/ whose text has no link to a product page. Show me the list and stop. Do not change those pages yet. 4. The Sway Braces and Rod Hanger Assemblies product pages still carry their old SEO titles. Draft a new title and a one-sentence meta description for each in the pattern used on the Variable Spring Supports page. Show me both before you save. Rules for this task. Work on a staging copy or a draft. Change only what this prompt names. A menu, a breadcrumb, a Rank Math setting, a shared template or a HubSpot form is global and may go live when saved. The blog grew, and 61 posts carry it
The blog folder holds 735 posts. About half are short project write-ups dated 1992 to 2017. There are none from 2018 to 2020. From 2021 on there are 79 articles, and 49 of them are from 2025 and 2026. They are filed with thirty years of one-paragraph project notes, under an index called "List".
Google showed 1,085 blog addresses in 13 weeks. 373 got at least one visit and 712 got none. See it in Search Console. 61 posts hold 2,757 of the blog's 3,541 visits.
Keep the address of every post that brings visitors. To get the list, open Search Console, choose Performance, then Pages, and filter for addresses that contain "blog". The write-ups that bring no visits can move into a project library that buyers filter by product and industry, with no risk to your visits. That library is also the proof your service pages need. Change the labels first. That is fix 4 in section 1.
The cross-reference charts bring 806 visits and stop
Your 48 cross-reference charts brought 806 visits in 13 weeks, against 1,019 last year. See it in Search Console. The Grinnell chart (146) and the Anvil chart (139) lead. The Anvil chart is about 1,300 words over six screens. The page has no button and no form in the text. A buyer who finds the PT&P equivalent of a competitor's part has to scroll to the general strip at the bottom to ask for a price.

Do not change the chart content, the competitor names or the page address. Rules for this task. Work on a staging copy or a draft. Change only what this prompt names. Fix order
This order puts verified defects first, then the pages that lost the most visits, then the pages that need content from your engineers.
- Run the five agent prompts in section 1. Breadcrumb, blog labels, Pipe Shields cards, Refinery sentence, author list.
- Rebuild the Engineered Spring Supports page and set the two spring titles. Springs lost the most and bring the most leads. An engineer writes the Constant card.
- Link the three reading pages to the part and to an engineer. The same prompt covers the Sway Braces and Rod Hanger Assemblies titles.
- Add the next step to the cross-reference charts. Start with the Anvil and Grinnell charts.
- Run the long-page prompt on Pipe Vibration Solutions, then on the other twelve pages in order of visits, one page per run.
- Check Search Console for usbellows.com, then restructure Expansion Joint Solutions. Then add the "PT&P company" line to the category cards.
- Rebuild the emergency page. PT&P confirms the after-hours number first.
- Change the pop-up timing and the homepage first screen.
How to tell it worked
Read the same four numbers in Search Console 13 weeks after the changes go live, for the same length of time. Today they are 22,796 visits for the whole site, 2,313 for pages with "spring" in the address, 687 for service and solution pages and 806 for the cross-reference charts.
Decisions only PT&P can make
We found these and cannot tell from outside whether they are deliberate. Each needs one answer from PT&P.
| Question | What we saw |
|---|---|
| Does each sister site sell on its own, or hand buyers back to PT&P? | pipingtech.com sends buyers to usbellows.com and pipeshields.com in new tabs. Seven expansion joint addresses now forward to usbellows.com and four fabrication addresses forward to swecofab.com. The four are orifice plates flanges, pig launchers receivers, transition piecesduct work, pressure vessels tanks. The seven are linked in section 4. Together they brought 586 visits to pipingtech.com in the same weeks last year. |
| Is 713-452-4803 a call tracking number? | The page /contact-us/request-a-quote-2/ shows that number. The header shows 713-731-0030. There are two quote pages. |
| Which page is the emergency page? | /services/24x7-quick-turn-emergency/ and /contact-us/emergency-request/ say almost the same thing. |
| What should info.pipingtech.com do? | An older blog called "The Pipe Support Blog" is still live at that address with the earlier site menu. Google showed 229 of its addresses in 13 weeks and sent 27 visits. See it in Search Console. |
| Was go.pipingtech.com turned off on purpose? | The address no longer loads. In the same weeks last year Google sent it 423 visits. See it in Search Console. If other sites or old emails still link to it, forward it to the Products page. |
| Which engineers can be named? | Service pages and articles need a named person. The leadership page names managers only. |
| Can PT&P publish 3D CAD files? | Your Vendor CAD Worksheets page offers worksheets behind a form. Lisega gives engineers its own pipe support design software, LICAD. Engineers who design in 3D may expect files they can place in a model. |
| Is the Google Maps listing set up as you want it? | The listing "Piping Technology & Products Inc" shows "Open 24 hours" and "Located in: U.S. Bellows, Inc." Several visible reviews are from delivery drivers. |
How we tested
- Site reading. We saved a copy of 6,317 addresses on pipingtech.com on 6 October 2026 and counted from that copy. Counts from the saved copy say so.
- Browser checks. Each claim about what a visitor sees was checked in Google Chrome on a desktop, one page at a time, on 6 October 2026. We loaded pages slowly and did not submit any form.
- Visits, searches and places in Google. Google Search Console for pipingtech.com, read on 8 October 2026. All countries, 7 July to 5 October 2026 against 7 July to 5 October 2025. A place is the average across those weeks. Search Console names the search behind about a quarter of your visits and hides the rest, so the searches we quote are examples and the page totals are the full count.
- Live address checks. On 8 October 2026 we opened all 349 addresses that had 15 or more visits in any of the periods we compared and recorded where each one lands. Search Console links in this audit open your own account, on the same weeks we used. You need to be signed in to Google with access to pipingtech.com.
- Monthly searches in the page mockups. DataForSEO, United States, 6 October 2026. These are outside estimates of how many people search a phrase. Nothing else in this audit uses them.
- Title history. Saved copies of the Variable Spring Supports page in the Internet Archive, June 2025 to August 2026.
- YouTube. Public view counts for 94 videos on the pipingtech channel, 6 October 2026. Six videos from 2016 to 2018 hold 89% of the 786,565 views.
- Forum quotes. Each quote was copied word for word from the linked Eng-Tips thread.
- Not tested. Phone screens, page speed over time, leads, revenue, and Search Console for usbellows.com or your other sites.
